Ask Kevin YOUR Question!
Transcript of this Week's Quick Fix:
Hey Guys! This is Kevin Gianni with your weekly 50 Second Quick Fix.
Today I have a snacking question and I know the answer will help you out!
"Do you recommend a straight 3-meals a day, or 5-6 smaller meals? And can I have some portable snack ideas that will really curb my hunger, if I go the route of the 5-6 smaller meals?"
Great question! I recommend eating whenever you feel like it as long as you're eating foods that are high in minerals, such as vegetables, berries, seeds and superfoods and not over doing it with the nuts your metabolism will burn fat. So that generally means 5-6 meals a day for most people.
You have to think about how animals in the wild and our ancestors lived. If we were hungry we went out and found food, picked it and then ate it right there. If we wanted another, it was right on the tree or bush. If on the way back there were some berries and our body still signaled hunger, we grabbed some of those too.
So in order to eat 5-6 meals successfully, you need to be prepared. What does that mean? It means you have to have those foods available to you when you're hungry. Or at least know where to get them. If you become ravenously hungry between meals, you're in for a huge binge. To stop that behavior, you need to have food at your side.
-Fruits with Lower Sugar Content: Which again are berries, raspberries, black berries, blueberries, a few strawberries, an apple at the higher end of the sugar spectrum
Superfoods: Raw chocolate and hemp seed
-Nuts: Small amounts of cashews, brazil nuts, and a few almonds
-Vegetables: Celery, Carrots, Sprouts, Cucumbers, you name it!
Most of these items you can find in a health food store. If you need to find some of the superfoods, you can visit Nature's First Law internet store.
The more of these you have available the more your metabolism will thank you and shed off those extra pounds.
Also I'd like to mention another cool site I recently stumbled upon! If you go to Kimkins.com you can learn about how Kimmer lost a bunch of weight in just a year. On her site, you can find resources and tools that can help you do the same!

"Hi Kevin,
Your idea of counting exercise activity in terms of "hours per week" versus "days per week" changes my whole outlook.
It is a wonderful concept. I am going to step it into action right away.
Keep on!
You are terrific!"
