Why Organic Foods? - A Humorous Look with Store Wars

Printer-Friendly Format

Yes, you should eat organic foods... but here's another way to explain why. Join Obi-One-Canoli and Cuke Skywalker fight the Evil Darth Potato.

Wow.

Got to give it to these guys... but they have way too much time on their hands!

Organic foods were virtually unregulated until after 2001.

Most hesitation I hear about whether or not someone should by organic foods comes from the initial skepticism that surrounded them before the turn of the century.

Organic foods are better for you.

They are not sprayed with pesticides and are grown in more nutrient rich soils. This translates to better quality fruits and vegetables.

Fruits and vegetables are now engineered to keep longer, look better, and taste different. We're doing ourselves a serious dis-service to be eating these modified foods.

Only 2% of the population as of now eats organic foods. That means there is 98% of the population that needs to be reached.

Too many people are hung up on arguing whether local organics or industrial organics (organics produced by large companies) are better or not. I think it is a waste of time for now.

Let's focus on getting the organics to the 98% and once that happens, we can discuss whether local or large companies are better suited to deliver our foods.

I'd love to discuss this some more, so if you have any comments, please hop on over to the discussion board and let's talk organic foods!
