Diet, Exercise, Fitness, and Weight Loss Motivation Article Archive for Busy People

Don't worry about diet, exercise, and weight loss motivation again. This section will give you exactly what you need when you think all is lost!

The reason I've created this section is because I know how much information on motivation--particularly fitness, exercise, diet and weight loss--is missing from our magazines, books, and television programs.

I once talked to a successful freelance fitness writer who told me that the reason these topics are brushed over is because motivation is not tangible. You can't write a 150 page article on weight loss motivation and expect a reader to just get it. There's more to it, so the magazines tend to stick with what everyone wants... how to burn fat, how to get great abs, and how to look good naked.

Now, of course, those aren't bad things to strive for! What I've found as a trainer, is that if you really want to get all those things, you need to have the motivation and drive to make it happen. So it really turns into a Catch 22.

My suggestion for the magazines is to approach the teaching of motivation this way. Yes, I understand the need to sell magazines and books, so promise great abs and backs and trim bodies. That's an effective strategy.

Though once you have the reader's attention, give them the stuff that really works... the power of focus. Instead of giving 6 quick ab exercises, give 6 quick mind exercises that will actually get someone to do the ab exercises!

That will get anyone who's lost their motivation back on track! Believe me, I've seen it happen 100s of times.
